All babies have some reflux. Most just have a little (just some "spitting up”) and some have a lot. Of course, if a baby is not burped well before being put down, a big wet burp with lots of milk can happen after being placed in any bed. But, if your baby vomits more than 4 times a day and more than an ounce each time, you should consult your doctor, it may be the sign of Gastroesophageal reflux (GER).
If your doctor recommends elevation of the head for reflux, you can get our special “lifters” to raise the bed up on just a bit of an incline.
You may also be wondering if SNOO’s rocking might make your baby spit up more. Of course, any baby can spit up when put down on the back. But, since SNOO reduces crying it usually reduces spitting up (when babies cry, they tend to tighten their stomachs…and spit up even more.)
